Senior Commercial Leader

The Senior Commercial Leader plays a key part in securing projects on favourable commercial terms and driving successful delivery outcomes. This senior role balances precontracts and operational support, requiring the ability to mentor and uplift capability within the commercial team.

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the commercial function across all projects in the region
  • Lead commercial input across tenders, ensuring risk is clearly defined, appropriately priced, and manageable through delivery
  • Oversee the development and implementation of commercial strategies, guide teams on contractual matters, and maintain robust governance from tender through to project close-out
  • Work closely with senior leaders across Precontracts, Delivery, Legal, Finance, and Risk to achieve project and business objectives, while fostering strong relationships with clients and partners during tendering and negotiation phases

For this role, we are looking for an individual who has a deep understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and oversight of the commercial function
  • Leading commercial input across tenders
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of commercial strategies
  • Working closely with senior leaders across various departments

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering successful commercial outcomes.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive business growth
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners
