About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing concept and detail design for primary disciplines, including drafting and studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct design reviews for primary disciplines, focusing on single line diagram and substation layout, elevation, etc.
  • Collaborate with the project team, clients, and stakeholders to develop optimized and innovative solutions for primary design elements.
  • Perform concept design related to primary disciplines for tender submissions and feasibility studies.
  • Conduct technical investigations and feasibility studies to assess the viability and potential risks of proposed primary designs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 7+ years local experience in HV and renewable infrastructure projects and AS 2067 from either the NSP or Contractor side. You should be proficient in primary design, including substation layout, electrical clearance, short-circuit forces, EMF, as well as Corona, cable, earthing, and lighting studies. Familiarity with HV equipment and proficiency in AUTOCAD and/or MicroStation are also essential.
