West Wimmera Health Service is a leading healthcare provider offering a unique gap year opportunity within the Hospitality and Environmental Services Department.
Job OverviewThis fixed-term, full-time position is available for 12 months across select WWHS sites. The successful applicant will work alongside our professional catering team to prepare quality meals and maintain a clean environment.
Key Responsibilities- Clean acute facilities, residential aged care areas, and external properties to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Assist with meal preparation, service, and delivery, maintaining supplies and equipment in accordance with Department of Human Services Standards and Infection Control Guidelines.
- Work on a rotating roster over a 7-day period, including weekends and public holidays.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, management, and the community.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and be multi-skilled.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills using Microsoft software packages.
- Maintain cleaning standards and Food Safety Guidelines.
- Prioritise hygiene and adhere to Infection Prevention protocols.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide assistance as needed.
