The Support Worker position at Challenge Community Services is a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with skill development and enriching their lives through engaging and creative activities.
This role may involve providing in-home support for clients, which requires flexibility and adaptability. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop personalized support plans to help them achieve their goals.
About You- You are a confident and effective communicator, able to build positive relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- You are resilient and self-assured, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- You possess strong problem-solving skills and are able to think creatively to meet the needs of clients.
- You are flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including afternoon and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
- You hold a valid Australian Driver's License, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- You are able to pass a National Criminal History Check and hold full COVID vaccination status.
- You have experience working with high-needs Disability clients and hold a Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent.
- You have a demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes.
- We offer competitive Award Level 2 pay rates based on qualifications and/or experience.
