Director of Environmental Regulation

Located in Melbourne, you have the opportunity to take on a senior leadership role as Director of Environmental Regulation. As part of this position, you will be responsible for providing high-level guidance and strategic direction to the Permissioning team. Your goal will be to drive excellence and innovation in environmental regulation.
This is an ongoing full-time opportunity with hybrid working options available. As the Director of Environmental Regulation, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with EPA's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience building and leading high-performance teams, developing professional competency, and coaching to realise team potential. You should also possess exceptional conceptual and systematic thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends, analyse information, data, and situations, and assess impacts.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience as a designated decision-maker or managing designated decision-makers in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Substantial experience building and leading high-performance teams, developing professional competency, effective performance management, and coaching to realise team potential.
- Experience in leading systems, processes, and organisational change across multiple sites whilst maintaining a continuous improvement approach and focus.
