Job Title: Identified - Team Leader - Aboriginal Primary Healthcare And Sport And Recreation

The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership and guidance to a team of professionals in the area of Aboriginal primary health and sport. This includes developing and implementing strategies to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal communities, working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve positive change.

  • This role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to guide and support staff, develop strategies, and monitor program performance.
  • You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community leaders, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders to promote cultural safety and understanding.
  • This position involves recruiting, training, and developing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver culturally sensitive services.

Key Requirements:

  • A diploma or higher qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, Nursing, or Allied Health.
  • Certificate III or IV in Sport and Fitness and relevant vocational experience.
  • Diploma (or above) in Adult Education.
  • Aboriginal descent by parentage, identification as being Aboriginal, and acceptance in the community as such.
