We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspection Engineer to lead site-based mechanical inspections, analyzing static and dynamic machinery, assessing damage/deterioration, and reviewing remedial work scopes.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to transition into a leadership position, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, quality management, client account management, and team planning.
About the Position
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading site-based mechanical inspections and analysis of machinery
- Assessing and reporting on damage/deterioration
- Reviewing and approving remedial work scopes
- Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing client relationships and planning team activities
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering design and site-based inspections
- Knowledge of mining equipment and machinery, particularly conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, and ship loaders
- Sound understanding of Asset Management, Condition Monitoring, and infrastructure maintenance
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
