About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the General Manager of Architecture and Technology Strategy. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technology organization and driving the creation of a crystal-clear technology vision, strategy, and prioritized focus areas for MYOB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the MYOB-wide Architecture Practice, defining and leading technology strategy, engineering excellence, and technology innovation.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with technology, business, and product leaders to drive the creation of a world-class technology organization.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Drive the development and implementation of architectural standards, practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead cross-cutting architecture initiatives, establishing new capabilities, improving ways of working, approaches to architecture planning, decision-making, and governance.
  • Enhance and extend a vibrant engineering community, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with technology, business, and product leaders defining and delivering on technology strategy.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in SaaS architectural design, implementation, and operation, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and recovery.
  • Experience deploying cloud-based solutions to Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.
  • Strong understanding of practices such as Continuous Delivery, Domain-Driven Design, and Software Craftsmanship.
  • Ability to influence deep technical and commercial partners on the need for fit-for-purpose architectural and engineering standards and practices.
  • Ability to attract and retain talent, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional results.
