Canteen Operations Manager

Manage daily canteen operations to ensure efficient and effective food service delivery. Plan menus that adhere to National Healthy Canteens Guidelines, prioritizing healthy and nutritious snacks and drinks for students.

  • Execute kitchen management, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels and negotiate favorable pricing terms.
  • Lead a team of volunteers to maintain cleanliness and organization in the canteen area.
  • Monitor and manage cash registers during peak periods.

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship or Residency with full work rights.
  • Working With Children Check (required).
  • NNSW Driver's Licence (required).
  • Commercial Cookery Certification (highly desirable).
  • Food Safety Certification (highly desirable).
  • Proven experience in managing a school canteen or similar environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and efficiently manage large volumes of customers.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and teachers.
