Job Title: Financial Planning Professional

We are seeking a qualified and experienced financial planning professional to join our team. This key role is responsible for ensuring accurate data capture, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of financial information.

This role plays a critical part in the development and submission of five-year price applications, providing economic modelling and advice on strategic business planning documents and reports. You will also be involved in the preparation of annual reports, including workpapers in support of accounting standards and disclosures within the report.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and submission of five-year price applications, including provision of economic modelling, price forecasting and interpretation of information.
  • Provide economic modelling and advice on strategic business planning documents and reports.
  • Prepare annual reports, including workpapers in support of accounting standards and disclosures within the report.
  • Support the end-of-month process according to established procedures and processes to ensure timely production of reports.

Requirements:

  • Associated tertiary qualifications and post-graduate qualifications from recognized accounting bodies (CAANZ or CPA).
  • A strong understanding of financial reporting and budgeting in a business environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage different user groups to implement improvements to systems and processes.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and confidence using accounting software, reporting platforms and Excel.
