Key Position: Landscape Architect

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Architect to deliver high-quality landscape design assessments and urban planning proposals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive landscape assessments of subdivision plans and proposals from developers, with a customer-centric approach
  • Provide expert advice on pre-permit applications and planning referrals relating to landscape and public realm
  • Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve great open space and public realm outcomes
  • Collaborate with all parties involved in open space and public realm to ensure consistent design responses for the community

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Landscape Architecture (essential)
  • Demonstrated understanding of design principles as it relates to public open space, community, environmental, social and economic development
  • Understanding of urban design and planning principles
  • Experience in assessing plans, technical drawings, specifications, plant species etc. to approve landscape and urban design proposals for formal endorsement
  • Experience in critiquing landscape and urban design plans to achieve quality design outcomes
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders
