**Genomics Services Officer Position Summary:**

The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a highly skilled Genomics Services Officer to provide exceptional service to clients and support the BRF Genomics team.

The successful candidate will have experience in molecular biology, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run the ONT plasmid sequencing service, including library preparation and sequence alignment generation
  • Work with other genomics teams on various projects
  • Undertake nucleic acid extractions from model and non-model organisms
  • Provide information for facility billing
  • Assist with reporting activities and facility outreach, including tours and web content

Requirements:

  • Experience in molecular biology
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with students and academics
