The Court Services Victoria is seeking Expressions of Interest for Associate to Judge positions across all three Divisions of the Court. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Court and develop an understanding of court processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise extensively with the legal profession and observe the work of advocates and the judiciary.
- Support a Judge in chambers and in court.
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of legal principles and legislation in a dynamic and sensitive environment.
- A well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer literacy and administration experience.
- A valid Australian State or Territory driver licence.
- A law degree and/or experience in legal practice or an associated field is highly desirable.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the skills and experience outlined above. Recent law graduates, legal practitioners, those who have undertaken clerkships and placements at the Court, and candidates interested in a future at the Victorian Bar, are encouraged to apply.
