Role Opportunity: Critical Care Specialist

The Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Service are seeking an experienced Critical Care Specialist to join the Emergency Department.

This opportunity offers a unique chance to work in a busy and rewarding environment, providing specialist level care to patients and contributing to an after-hours on-call service. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team across all aspects of Emergency Care, including paediatrics, ambulatory, short stay medicine, resus and acute emergency medicine.

As the successful candidate, you will need to have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, appropriate Specialist Qualifications, and Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration. You will also require experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff, as well as extensive clinical experience relevant to work in an Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing specialist level care to patients
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team across all aspects of Emergency Care
  • Providing clinical supervision to Senior Medical Practitioners, Trainee Medical Officers and Medical Students
  • Contributing to an after-hours on-call service
  • Overseeing the smooth functioning of the clinical area when on shift
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent

  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
