Occupational Therapist Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to enhance or maintain individuals' independence in all aspects of life.

Occupational therapists may assist people who are limited by physical or psychological illness, neurological dysfunction, developmental delay, or the ageing process.

About the Role
  • This position entails improving or maintaining clients' functional capacity and independence.
  • Occupational therapists will work closely with clients to achieve optimal results, ensuring that their needs are met through effective interventions.
  • As part of this role, occupational therapists will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' functional ability and limitations.
  • Develop, implement, and review collaborative OT services.
  • Provide education and support to clients regarding energy conservation, joint protection, falls prevention, and other relevant topics.
Requirements
  • Current National Police Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence with own reliable vehicle
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists, Queensland
