**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the company's tax compliance, reporting and strategy.

The ideal candidate will have significant post-qualified experience in business services, preferably in a managerial role, with strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and corporate tax frameworks.

You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, monitoring and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, and developing and implementing tax-efficient strategies while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

The successful candidate will also provide tax advisory services on strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and business restructures, manage tax risk, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure best practices in tax management.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, including income tax, GST, and FBT.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, including ASX obligations.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide tax advisory services on strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and business restructures.
  • Manage tax risk, including liaising with the ATO and overseeing tax audits or disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure best practices in tax management.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CA and/or CPA qualification.
  • Significant post-qualified experience in business services, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and corporate tax frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide data-driven tax recommendations.
  • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging effectively at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
