Job Overview

The Wellbeing Workforce initiative aims to support Queensland state school students. This role is part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for establishing wellbeing services in schools and delivering therapeutic support to students with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess student mental health needs to inform appropriate interventions
  • Deliver individual and group interventions addressing mental health concerns
  • Collaborate with schools' leadership and student support teams on student support planning and provide advice to teachers supporting students' mental health in the classroom
  • Develop referral and case management processes to support service delivery
  • Coordinate referrals to external agencies and work collaboratively with networks and stakeholders to ensure access to appropriate supports for students
  • Provide advice and assistance to families supporting the mental health of students
  • Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team

Candidates from each discipline will be assessed according to these responsibilities, in combination with their respective role description.
