About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Operator Maintainer to join our team in Exmouth, Western Australia. As part of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) project at the DARC facility, you will play a vital role in maintaining the building's mechanical plant, HVAC, engineering services, landscape, and facilities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration maintenance as part of the O&M team.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain safe work practices, and ensure quality oversight of contractor works.
  • Log and report on completed maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage procurement of equipment, parts, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with both local and remote O&M teams, ensuring seamless communication and project integration.
  • Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance using both in-house staff and external contractors.
  • Engage with stakeholders across Australia and the US to support the successful integration of project hardware.

About You:

  • You hold trade qualifications in mechanical, refrigeration, and/or electrical disciplines.
  • You have demonstrated ability to work independently, as part of a team, and in remote environments.
  • Previous experience in working in the power/ energy industry and/or defence will be advantageous.
  • You possess a HV Switching Ticket and/or Refrigerant Handling License, which is highly desired but not essential for the role.
  • You have experience with systems engineering, design, and certification processes.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and risk management.
  • You have experience in construction and commissioning of communications infrastructure, which is highly regarded.
  • You are committed to safety, health, and environmental management practices.
