Engineering Design Coordination

This role involves overseeing complex engineering designs associated with Western Power facilities and customer connections. Conducting investigations and managing technical information, leading design development and process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing and coordinating accurate project inputs and outputs for work on the distribution network.
  • Complete all documentation, technical assessments, and data entry in applicable systems to ensure business processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance across the design community; identify non-conformances as appropriate.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for corporate membership of The Institution of Engineers, Australia.
  • 8-10 years' experience in utility engineering with a focus on distribution.
  • Extensive knowledge of distribution standards and practices.
  • Distribution substation design and drafting processes.
  • Power system primary and secondary plant/systems.
  • Project management best practices.
  • Ability to contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
