Duty Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accommodation facilities, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Accountabilities- Direct and oversee reservation, reception, room service, and housekeeping activities to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Assess and review customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Head Chef to plan and supervise bar, restaurant, function, and conference activities.
- Assist the Licensee in observing liquor, gaming, and other laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
- Oversee purchasing activities and accounting across departments, including liaising with suppliers and logistics providers.
- Supervise security arrangements, grounds, and property maintenance at the main accommodation site and staff village.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to environment, occupational health and safety, and food safety.
- Provide guests with local tourism information and recommendations outside the Lake St Clair National Park.
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced professional with excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a 5-star environment with a working knowledge of property management systems.
- Experience in travel agencies and distribution channels, with a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences.
- Excellent communication skills, proven telephone sales abilities, and a commitment to customer service.
- A professional manner and a 'smile in their voice.'
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Please note that due to our location and proximity to schools, this position is not suitable for applicants with school-aged children who attend school. Additionally, the ability to own a car and drive in Australia is necessary for this role.
