Experienced Field Education Liaison Officer

Seeking an experienced Field Education Liaison Officer to provide oversight and support for students and field educators on placement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and experience working with students on placement.

  • Meeting with the student and field educator at least twice during the placement to check in regarding their progress and adherence to the Learning Plan.
  • Writing the mid placement report documenting the student's progression.
  • Conducting an end of placement meeting with the student to facilitate critical reflection of their development while on placement.
  • Marking written assessments using the online platform Sonia and providing feedback as needed.
  • Ensuring students complete all placement requirements in accordance with accreditation guidelines.

This is a flexible location-based role, and the successful applicant could be based at one of our campuses: Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of five years full-time, post-qualifying practice experience
  • Eligibility for membership of the AASW (Australian Association Social Work) and knowledge of current AASW Practice Standards
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with proven ability to meet internal deadlines
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety policies relevant to the work environment
  • Previous experience in overseeing social work student placements is desirable but not essential.
