We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join our team at Powerlink. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and wellbeing management, with experience in managing and delivering safety monitoring and compliance activities for large-scale, complex infrastructure construction projects. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, support, and assistance to team members and stakeholders, and for ensuring that safety standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Management Systems: Design, develop, adapt, and deliver safety management processes, systems, strategies, and initiatives to ensure compliance with policy, legislative, and project requirements.
- Provide Technical Safety Advice: Offer technical safety management advice and practical risk control solutions to team members and stakeholders, and provide coaching and mentoring to front-line leaders and Safety Advisors.
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Monitor external changes to maintain compliance with social and regulatory standards, and ensure that safety aspects of HSE systems meet policy, legislative, and project requirements.
- Lead Health and Safety Audits: Review HSE performance, provide insights for improvement, and lead health and safety audits to identify areas for improvement and develop cost-effective recommendations.
- Investigate Incidents: Lead or participate in investigations for effective outcomes, oversee emergency response planning, and ensure preparedness.
- Develop Wellbeing Programs: Create and implement affordable wellbeing programs for remote staff, camp residents, and mental health support aligned with project goals.

Requirements- Qualifications: Degree level qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or another related discipline, or equivalent experience.
