We are a leading, specialized, non-profit advocate and provider of abortion and contraception services. Our team delivers support for clients accessing our services.

The Position:

The Medical Administrative Assistant will provide professional, empathetic and human contact for all clients accessing services in the clinic. You will ensure accurate data entry onto client administration systems and manage client information securely. This includes invoicing correctly and providing necessary documentation to enable claiming.

You will be responsible for ensuring client comfort in waiting areas and being the first point of contact for clients seeking reassurance and information throughout their journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Client Services: Deliver exceptional customer service, maintain confidentiality, manage client inquiries, and identify potential risks to escalate to the Clinic Manager.
  • Data Entry: Ensure data accuracy, enter client demographics, summarize discharge summaries, edit documents from internal computer systems, and update client appointment status.
  • Medical Records: Maintain complete client details, print labels, and adhere to privacy principles and healthcare laws. Prepare medical records for clinical staff as required and archive records appropriately.
  • Eligibility Checks/Billing: Perform Medicare eligibility checks, submit claims, process payments using an EFTPOS machine, and understand public and private funding procedures.
