About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Officer to join our team in Region 7 depots (Ryde and Willoughby). This is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop within a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with management and staff
  • Assess and coach new and existing employees in on-road driving skills, customer service, workplace safety, and ticket machine usage
  • Facilitate effective, interactive group training by creating a positive learning environment
  • Conduct technical training in on-road driving skills, vehicle and route familiarisation with positive outcomes for learners
  • Carry out coaching sessions and refresher training in technical driving skills
  • Maintain currency of knowledge on all policies, procedures, and legal requirements as well as maintaining a best practice approach
  • Manage your own daily schedule to ensure all training activities and assessments are completed
  • Research and utilise new learning and development content, methods, and materials for training
  • Work both autonomously and within a team environment to achieve KPIs and excellent training outcomes
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly regarded) or willingness to obtain
  • Current NSW Drivers' Authority or willingness to obtain
  • Current Drivers Licence (HR class minimum)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Possess the ability to learn and understand material quickly in order to facilitate training sessions
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, meticulous with paperwork, and the ability to maintain focus under pressure
  • Possess a demonstrated ability in successfully engaging learner groups using interactive and interesting techniques Intermediate computer skills
  • Willingness to adapt in a changing environment
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
