Learning and Development Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Officer to join our team in Ryde. As a key member of our Learning and Development team, you will be responsible for the training and assessment of employees, focusing on classroom training, driving skills, and assessing potential employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with management and staff
- Assess and coach new and existing employees in on-road driving skills, customer service, workplace safety, and ticket machine usage
- Facilitate effective, interactive group training by creating a positive learning environment
- Conduct technical training in on-road driving skills, vehicle and route familiarisation with positive outcomes for learners
- Carry out coaching sessions and refresher training in technical driving skills
- Maintain currency of knowledge on all policies, procedures, and legal requirements as well as maintaining a best practice approach
- Manage your own daily schedule to ensure all training activities and assessments are completed
- Research and utilise new learning and development content, methods, and materials for training
- Work both autonomously and within a team environment to achieve KPIs and excellent training outcomes
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly regarded) or willingness to obtain
- Current NSW Drivers' Authority or willingness to obtain
- Current Drivers Licence (HR class minimum)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Possess the ability to learn and understand material quickly in order to facilitate training sessions
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, meticulous with paperwork, and the ability to maintain focus under pressure
- Possess a demonstrated ability in successfully engaging learner groups using interactive and interesting techniques Intermediate computer skills
- Willingness to adapt in a changing environment
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
