Head of Library Opportunity

SchoolHouse is partnering with an esteemed all-boys school in Brisbane to find a skilled and passionate educator to lead their library team. The school offers a wide range of educational opportunities and state-of-the-art facilities, providing a unique environment for students to excel academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the library team to provide exceptional educational resources and support to students and staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to integrate library services into the curriculum
  • Develop and implement library programs and services that promote literacy, research skills, and information literacy
  • Manage library collections, resources, and facilities to ensure they meet the needs of the school community
  • Provide guidance and support to students and staff on information literacy, research skills, and technology integration

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education) and experience leading a library team
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or eligibility to obtain one prior to commencement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to support the values and ethos of the school and promote a culture of care and compassion
