Head of Library Opportunity

SchoolHouse is partnering with an esteemed all-boys school in Brisbane to find a skilled and passionate educator to lead their library team. The school offers a wide range of educational opportunities and state-of-the-art facilities, providing a unique environment for students to excel academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the library team to provide exceptional educational support to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate library services into the curriculum
  • Develop and implement library programs and services to promote literacy and learning
  • Manage library resources and collections to ensure they meet the needs of students and staff
  • Provide guidance and support to students on research skills and information literacy

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education) and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • Experience leading a library team and developing library programs and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff
  • Ability to promote a culture of care and compassion in the library environment
  • Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment and contributing to the school's values and ethos
