Spiritual Care Leader
Provide guidance and support to students, staff, and the broader school community in matters of faith and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chapel and Spiritual Development:
- Develop and implement chapel services that align with Christian values.
- Encourage student participation in chapel through various roles such as choir, worship band, readings, and prayer.
- Invite the wider Christian community to participate in chapel and school life.
- Lunchtime Engagement Programs:
- Design and deliver lunchtime programs to foster social, spiritual, and emotional connections among students.
- Oversee the primary lunchtime program and explore opportunities for secondary lunchtime programs.
- Create inclusive spaces for students to build relationships, share experiences, and grow.
- Breakfast Club:
- Coordinate the delivery of breakfast club in collaboration with staff and student volunteers.
- Support volunteer coordination and ensure a smooth food service operation.
- Wellbeing and Pastoral Care:
- Offer pastoral support to students facing challenges.
- Facilitate small group programs promoting social-emotional learning and mental health.
- Provide mediation, trauma-informed care, and crisis response as needed.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and external agencies for effective support.
- Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of pastoral interactions according to privacy policies.
- Understand mandatory reporting obligations and adhere to them.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required.
