We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Urban Planner to join our Melbourne team and contribute to the delivery of major infrastructure and public realm projects throughout Victoria.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and make a meaningful impact on the development of our cities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage urban planning deliverables, including project approval strategies, multi-criteria analysis, and options assessment.
  • Provide support on major projects, including development plans, urban design and landscape plans, and planning due diligence and approval strategies.
  • Effectively manage projects to schedule and budget, achieving high-quality outcomes and outputs to the satisfaction of clients.
  • Provide urban planning advice on a range of projects, including masterplans, feasibility studies, and business cases.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff to ensure their professional development and the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Urban/Environmental Planning (or similar) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • A well-developed understanding of contemporary planning practices and the ability to apply planning legislation and schemes.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing projects and budgets to meet time and resource requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A desire to think and act beyond technical training, embracing opportunities to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
