We are seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor to lead and mentor a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on production, safety, quality and continuous improvement.
This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining production targets, managing day-to-day plant operations, and supporting operational excellence initiatives.
- Responsibilities include leading, mentoring and developing shift personnel to achieve production targets, providing technical support, troubleshooting production issues and driving continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or manufacturing disciplines, strong process knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing, and proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset, sound planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills, demonstrated behaviours that contribute to constructive teamwork, ability to work autonomously and take accountability, current driver's licence and reliable transport, understanding of Six Sigma principles, and experience with RCA techniques.
