This is an identified position within Churches of Christ, requiring an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person to fill the role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level support to children, young people, foster and kinship carers, and families of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and care arrangements to meet individual needs.
- Facilitate evidence-based parenting programs and utilize modelling techniques to address identified needs and vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate recruitment and provide ongoing support to carers, generating comprehensive assessments and reports as needed.
- Negotiate and implement case management and planning, maintaining detailed and accurate client records.
We are seeking a passionate and caring individual with excellent communication skills to join our team. You will have a degree qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline, and at least one year of experience working with children, young people, and families in a child protection or community service context.
You will be able to establish and build rapport with people, and have a sound understanding of child development and trauma theory to inform assessment and decision-making. A current driver's licence is also required.
