About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Mobile App Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in all aspects of our mobile applications.

Job Description:

The Mobile App Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for evaluating software functions and designing test protocols to ensure that products work as intended. You will complete all testing procedures, suggest performance changes, and prepare performance reports for the development managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate software functions and design test protocols to ensure that products work as intended
  2. Complete all testing procedures, suggest performance changes, and prepare performance reports for the development managers
  3. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  4. Develop and implement a comprehensive test plan for React Native mobile applications
  5. Define testing strategies for both iOS and Android platforms, considering platform-specific and device-specific behaviors
  6. Create detailed, reusable, and maintainable test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing
  7. Write test cases to cover UI/UX, performance, security, and compatibility aspects
  8. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Jest, Detox, Appium, or Cypress. Ensure test automation frameworks are scalable and efficient
  9. Test APIs and backend integrations to ensure data consistency and proper functionality
  10. Validate API responses, error handling, and data synchronization
  11. Build, code, and implement software evaluation test programs
  12. Run test programs to ensure that testing protocols evaluate the software correctly
  13. Tweak the software testing systems for maximum performance
  14. Finalize and document testing procedures
  15. Create and present test reports to management and suggest software fixes
  16. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies
  17. Periodically provide third-level support to business users
  18. Keep up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in mobile app testing and React Native development

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar field
  • Proven work experience as a software test engineer with a mobile app focus
  • Experience in testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms
  • Knowledge of device-specific and platform-specific behaviors and guidelines
  • Ability to test apps across multiple devices, screen sizes, and OS versions
  • In-depth knowledge of program testing software
  • Proficiency in testing tools like Jest, Detox, Appium, Espresso, XCTest, or Cypress
  • Ability to develop clear and concise test plans and collating data to compile test reports
  • Ability to design and write complex software testing procedures
  • Excellent software troubleshooting skills
