Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Educator to join our team in the Pre-Kindy room at C&K Newmarket Community Childcare Centre.

The successful applicant will be responsible for working alongside children in their early years, contributing to a safe, well-planned indoor and outdoor learning environment, and implementing a planned program in collaboration with the room leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creating and delivering a stimulating learning environment that promotes children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, working closely with colleagues to achieve educational goals
  • Develop and implement individualized programs for children, taking into account their unique needs and abilities
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher qualification
  • Current first aid/CPR certification, including asthma and anaphylaxis training
  • Previous experience in a childcare setting, preferably in the toddler age group (15 months-2 years)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including rotating shifts and overtime as required
