Service Technician Career Pathway

This role begins in our service bay, working hands-on with our hire equipment. You will learn how each machine works, how to service and prepare gear, and how the hire process runs. After 3–6 months, once you know the ropes, you will start stepping up to cover the branch manager when they are out meeting clients or on leave. In time, this role will grow into branch manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, cleaning, and preparing equipment for hire
  • Checking gear in and out, completing paperwork and condition reports
  • Assisting customers in the yard, including loading and unloading with forklift
  • Supporting the hire counter as you build knowledge

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery or small engines
  • Reliable, motivated, and customer-focused attitude
  • Forklift license (or willingness to get one quickly)
  • Experience in hire, trade, or a service industry
