Product Director

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the execution of product strategy, from design through to delivery, for multiple software products focused on the geoscientific space of mining.

  • Strong combination of business acumen and technical expertise, with exposure to handling trade-off decisions

  • Operates from a point of curiosity, adaptability, and leverages data to inform product decisions

The successful candidate will have a track record in managing the whole-of-product process, experience in facilitating collaboration within and across multiple teams, as well as externally, and a strong academic background in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Technology Management, Project Management, and/or Product Management.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product strategies, drive product innovation, and ensure seamless delivery of products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute product strategies that meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product roadmaps
  • Drive product innovation and improvement initiatives
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products to market
  • Lead and facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders around product goals and objectives

You will be based at our head office in Perth, Australia, and report to the Value Stream Leader for Mining. We offer a collaborative and dynamic work environment, competitive salary and benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience working for a software company in the software technology space
  • 5+ years experience in software product management
  • Demonstrable track record in managing the whole-of-product process
  • Strong combination of business acumen and technical expertise, with exposure to handling trade-off decisions
  • Academic background in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Technology Management, Project Management, and/or Product Management

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in facilitating collaboration within and across multiple teams
  • Proven ability to operate from a point of curiosity, adaptability, and leverage data to inform product decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, to all levels of the organisation and customer
