Position OverviewWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a culinary assistant to join our catering staff located in Melbourne offices on a full-time basis. Flexibility in hours will be required from time to time (after-hours functions – breakfasts and dinners).
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of meals for client events and occasions;
- Support staff gatherings, including morning and afternoon teas;
- Assist with business lunches;
- Assist with our in-site café;
- Dishwashing and ensuring timely cleanup of equipment;
- Ensure food preparation areas and associated equipment meet appropriate standards of cleanliness;
- Comply with all health requirements.
- Relevant food safety qualifications and minimum 2 years full-time experience in food preparation;
- Experience in corporate kitchens is highly regarded;
- Passion for producing high-quality dishes;
- Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure;
- Excellent teamwork skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Unwavering adherence to and enforcement of health and hygiene standards;
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
