Senior Structural Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Darwin, NT. As a key member of our Oil and Gas Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering engineering and brownfield modifications services to our clients in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and South-East Asia.

About the Role

We are looking for a suitably qualified engineer with a degree from a recognized institution and proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia. You will have a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and experience in offshore site environments and site surveying/scoping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement structural engineering solutions for Oil & Gas projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering and brownfield modifications services
  • Conduct site surveys and scoping exercises to identify structural engineering requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in structural engineering
Requirements
  • 6+ years relevant experience as a Structural Engineer in Oil & Gas
  • Experience in offshore site environments and site surveying/scoping
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Experience in the use of relevant software packages (e.g. SACS, StaadPro)
  • Experience in the use of API, AISC and ISO design codes
