About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our specialist timber team, you will play a crucial role in delivering several high-profile projects, including landmark buildings.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and managing medium-sized projects in the Australian market. You will be responsible for delivering smart, innovative, and efficient engineering solutions to our clients, using your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients.

You will be working closely with our team to deliver iconic and award-winning projects across Australia and the globe. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your career and take on new challenges in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage medium-sized projects in the Australian market
  • Deliver smart, innovative, and efficient engineering solutions to clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver projects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Australian tertiary engineering qualification
  • 6-9 years of local experience in structural engineering design
  • Membership with Engineers Australia, with CPEng / NER registration desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in prestressed concrete, steel design, and reinforced concrete
  • Ideally, experience in designing mass timber structures, although training will be provided
  • Experience in a consulting engineering office, including a range of project types and sizes
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial, residential, government, and/or public buildings and retail
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian regulatory requirements and design standards
  • A can-do attitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills
