About the Role

This position involves managing a diverse portfolio of workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely processing, and adhering to relevant policies and legislation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in workers' compensation and claims administration, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A key responsibility of this role is educating and supporting line managers to ensure accurate and timely information is provided. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a customer-focused approach to managing claims effectively.

The following are the essential responsibilities of this role:

  • Liaise with line managers to accurately input data required for fortnightly pay authorities for WorkCover pays.
  • Maintain accurate workers' compensation claim records to ensure correct information is provided to payroll for calculation and processing.
  • Communicate with TZV's WorkCover insurer in a timely manner as required.
  • Educate and support line managers to ensure accurate and timely information is provided.

  • Developing and implementing effective risk management strategies to minimize workplace injuries.
  • Providing education and training to line managers on workers' compensation policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information is provided.

  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation governance, legislative requirements, and a customer-focused approach to managing claims effectively.
  • Sound understanding of WorkCover claims with demonstrated experience in workers' compensation pays.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
