Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Claims Advisor to work closely with our team members, site people leaders, and Claims and Injury Management Advisors to implement effective workers' compensation case management and provide technical expertise in workers' compensation claims management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned workers' compensation claims to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and terms of our self-insurance licenses.
- Provide technical support to the team on claims management processes and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines.
- Take the lead on managing disputes, attending the Workplace Injury Commission, and litigated matters to achieve best practice compliance outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective claims management strategies with stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of data systems for workers' compensation claims management.
About You
- A minimum of 3+ years' experience in the workers' compensation scheme, particularly in case management, eligibility, and technical management.
- Detailed knowledge of Victorian Workplace Injury, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (WIRC) legislation and claims management.
- Strategic thinking and ability to apply specialist knowledge in case management strategy development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex information.
- Capacity and confidence to make decisions and resolve issues, including non-routine scenarios.
