Network Support Engineer Co-Op Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Network Support Engineer Co-Op. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced engineers to provide top-notch support to our global customer base.

Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues reported by customers and partners. This will involve collaborating with other support team members, reading and analyzing packet captures using Wireshark, and working with engineering and management teams to diagnose and resolve critical escalated issues.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, phone, and other network-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other support team members to resolve network outages, misconfigurations, and complex issues.
  • Read and analyze packet captures using Wireshark.
  • Work with engineering and management teams to diagnose and resolve critical escalated issues.
Qualifications
  • You must have a thorough understanding of fundamental networking protocols such as TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.
  • Basic experience with network technologies including firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, and wireless networks (802.11a/b/g/n/ac).
  • Previous internship, work, or volunteer experience in a network lab environment is helpful.
  • You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Eagerness to learn and be a team player.
  • Passion for networking, IT, and helping people.
  • Currently pursuing or holding a B.S. in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field.
