Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our Mental Health team as a Koori Mental Health Liaison Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of Aboriginal young people, their families, and carers.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Infant Child Youth Area Mental Health Wellbeing Service team to improve access to mental health services and support the delivery of clinical, cultural, and spiritual healing journeys.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Support engagement of children, young people, and their families in ICY-MHWS and linkage to appropriate community services.
  • Contribute to the identification of service gaps and systemic issues that may impact upon service access for the Aboriginal young people and their families and the community, and support implementation of strategies to address the identified service gaps.
  • Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and be accepted by the Aboriginal community.
