Commercial Analyst Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and managing budgets, providing financial insights, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed annual budgets through close collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare budget templates and associated instructions for the business.
  • Reconcile bids with historical business data to ensure accuracy.
  • Consolidate Service Victoria's budget and assist the Manager Finance to prepare budget briefs for senior executives and governance committees.
  • Work closely with the Department of Government Services corporate finance team to load approved budgets into the finance system.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Finance skills: Demonstrated experience preparing budgets, developing budget templates, and consolidating budgets.
  • Stakeholder management: Identifies common issues among stakeholders and builds mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Communication skills: Essential for liaison with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Initiative and accountability: Proactive and self-starting, seizing opportunities and taking responsibility for own actions.
