Our organization seeks a Support Associate to join our team in an education setting. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and success of students.

The primary function of this position involves providing assistance to teachers in planning student routines, supporting communication between teachers and parents, and addressing immediate behavioral presentations. You will also be responsible for communicating with students to facilitate their understanding of basic tasks and information, as well as providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines
  • Supporting communication between teachers and parents
  • Communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
  • Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting
  • Communicating with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
  • Addressing immediate behavioral presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure
  • Providing basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting
  • Supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision

To be successful in this role, you will require certification and/or qualifications of up to three years. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents, while your ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential in delivering high-quality outcomes.
