Work Health and Safety Specialist

As a Work Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our workforce by implementing and maintaining robust workplace health and safety management systems. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate site-level implementation, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with relevant WHS regulations.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive WHS policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Providing training and development opportunities for site staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in WHS.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with work activities.
  • Analyzing and reporting on WHS performance metrics to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Formal tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide recommendations.
