About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Healthcare Quality Assurance Specialist in the Southern NSW and ACT regions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Quality Management System within the health unit. Your primary focus will be on coordinating data collection, internal audit schedules, and managing local quality initiatives at all the health facilities within the health unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of a systems approach to healthcare delivery across the health unit.
  • Be the local lead agent and point of contact for all issues around health services accreditation and performance against standards.
  • Provide training and direct assistance in clinical quality improvement methodology for personnel in the health unit.
  • Action clinical improvement tasks and provide required reports to the Regional Clinical Governance Working Group.
  • Undertake tasks associated with the resolution of complaints, clinical reviews/investigations, and clinical incidents.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an inherently confident and influential communicator who enjoys working with people of all backgrounds in a complex operating environment. You will also require:
  • Australian citizenship.
  • A minimum 5 years full-time equivalent experience as an AHPRA registered health practitioner.
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
  • The ability to hold and maintain a baseline security clearance.
