About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at the Australian Public Service (APS). As a key member of our Management and Quality Assurance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of business outcomes and the adherence to regulatory, license, and standard requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct internal Quality Assurance activities to ensure that engineering and administrative processes are being followed and documented.
  • Engage with stakeholders to perform compliance testing and monitoring, and provide reporting of compliance and initiate remedial actions.
  • Recommend and communicate compliance and regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development.
  • Provide quality assurance professional and policy advice in relation to complex work.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience and qualifications relating to the design and conduct of internal Quality Assurance and audit activities.
  • Ability to engage with staff at levels above and below, including seeking information and providing frank feedback.
  • Ability to work independently to progress tasks and priorities, engaging with colleagues from other work teams.
  • Ability to design and conduct Quality Assurance activities, to ensure that engineering and administrative processes are being followed and documented.
