About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Internal Auditor - Risk Management Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) and conducting operational, financial, and corporate audit activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing the RACM and work programs for assessments and process flowcharts
  • Conducting audit activities, including interviewing, collecting, and examining evidence
  • Documenting evidential observations and assisting with drafting of audit findings
  • Contributing to the preparation of internal audit reporting
  • Supporting the Agency with Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) annual financial, performance, and performance statements audits

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in auditing, risk management, and controls
  • Hands-on experience in conducting internal audits and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication skills
  • Membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA), Certified Practising Accountants (CPA), or other equivalent professional finance bodies
