Job Overview

A senior IT business analyst will provide insightful analysis and interpretation of Time & Attendance data to ensure accurate employee pay against Enterprise Agreement rules.


About the Role:
  • Provide expert analysis and insights into Time & Attendance data to guarantee accuracy of employee pay in accordance with Enterprise Agreement rules.
  • Collaborate with the Data and Analytics team to develop robust pay models that accurately reflect employee payments.
  • E nsure compliance with relevant industrial instruments, payroll legislation, and EA provisions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely resolutions for payroll and Time and Attendance queries and issues.
  • Develop and document potential solutions, gaining agreement from key stakeholders.
  • Identify and document potential risks and/or solutions associated with improving current Time & Leave processes and system.
  • Support operational business units with solutions that enhance user experience and adherence to EA pay rules.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.

What We're Looking For:
  • You're an experienced Time & Attendance professional with a strong understanding of complex environments and excellent knowledge of Time & Attendance, payroll systems, legislation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven experience with Time & Attendance systems essential.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory payroll requirements, employee timekeeping systems, and collaboration with the payroll team to ensure accurate pay.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret awards, EBAs, and industrial instruments and apply these to timekeeping systems.
  • Extensive previous experience with complex large organizational timekeeping systems and compliance projects preferred.
  • Previous experience of working with data models and processes relating to payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, collaborating across boundaries with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
  • Strong capability in using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
