Position Overview

Linfox Pty Ltd is looking for a dedicated Safety and Compliance Manager to enhance our operational excellence. This pivotal role involves collaborating with various operational sites to ensure a seamless integration of safety protocols and compliance measures, thereby fostering a secure work environment for all employees.

As the Safety and Compliance Manager, you will engage in regular site visits to support our transport operations, focusing on risk management, effective communication, training initiatives, consultations, audits, and incident investigations. Key responsibilities include:

Driving safety performance and mentoring teams within the organizationOverseeing the implementation of annual safety management initiativesSetting clear and measurable objectives, targets, and KPIs for the business unitMonitoring and reporting on ongoing improvements in safety and complianceGuiding sites in understanding and applying Linfox safety standards and legislative requirements to ensure uniformity and complianceProviding expertise in incident investigations, analyzing root causes, and developing actionable corrective measures while sharing valuable insightsConducting assessments and assisting with the preparation and execution of internal or external audits related to WHS and Chain of Responsibility

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong operational focus and a commitment to promoting safety and compliance across our sites. You should demonstrate:

A Certificate IV or Diploma in workplace health and safety is preferred but not mandatoryIn-depth knowledge of Road Transport safety and compliance regulationsExperience managing a comprehensive range of WHS activities in a large-scale environmentThe ability to coach and influence leadership in establishing and maintaining safety standardsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality
